Grand Pacific Hotel is delighted to announce its partnership to present an exceptional art exhibition titled “Born From Fire: Return to the Flames.” This captivating showcase will be hosted by renowned artists Shane Bower and Alice Hill, taking place at the esteemed Rara Lounge within Grand Pacific Hotel from Thursday, 6th July to Sunday, 9th July 2023.
Born From Fire represents an extraordinary blend of artistic talents that will display work from high-quality Fijian artists and studios, such as Alice Hill, an accomplished professional glassblower from Hot Glass Fiji, who joins forces with Shane Bower, one of Fiji’s most sought-after artists.

Alice brings her wealth of experience from in glassblowing at her studio in Korotogo, where she trained and honed her skills for several years. Meanwhile, Shane’s innovative and industrious approach has made him a highly regarded artist, known for his expertise in both large and small-scale metal and copper works, catering to private and corporate clientele. Whether through three-dimensional sculptures or two-dimensional compositions, Shane’s visual language showcases a profound understanding of form and its expression.

This unique art exhibition seamlessly intertwines collaborative and individual works, showcasing the artists’ mastery of metal, glass, and wood — all sourced from natural elements. Each piece represents a fusion of creativity and craftsmanship, capturing the essence of the artists’ vision and their dedication to their craft.
The grand opening of the art exhibition will take place on Thursday, 6th July 2023, at 5 PM. His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, Head of State and President of the Republic of Fiji will officiate the event, adding prestige to the occasion.
From Friday, 7th July to Monday, 10th July 2023, the exhibition will be open to the public from 9 AM to 6 PM, allowing art enthusiasts to view and acquire these exquisite art pieces.
