Community Maymont Hosting Art Exhibition of Contemporary Ceramic Sculpture In keeping with the conference theme of “coalescence,” the exhibition features work by six artists who merge separate elements into transformative works. On view at The Robins Nature Center March 16-23 10am – 5pm (closed Monday, March 18) A reception with the artists will be held Thursday, March 21 5:30 – 7:30pm Free and open to the public.* Maymont is pleased to host Of Many , an art exhibition showcasing contemporary ceramic sculpture, in conjunction with the 58th Annual National Council on Education for the Ceramics Arts (NCECA) conference next month in Richmond. A selection of works will be on view at The Robins Nature Center (2201 Shields Lake Dr) March 16-23 10 am – 5pm (closed Monday, March 18). In keeping with the conference theme of “coalescence,” the exhibition features work by six artists who merge separate elements into transformative works, pushing the boundaries of ceramics through novel approaches and accumulated gestures. The artists are Grace Potter, Alice Walton, S. Lantz, Jess Riva Cooper, Lindsay Pichaske, and Amanda Salov , representing the Northern Coast of California, the English countryside, Northwest Arkansas, St. Louis, Toronto, and Seattle. *Admission to the “Of Many” exhibition is free and open to the public, but please note that The Robins Nature Center “Run of the River” experience requires $8 admission. Admission to The Robins Nature Center is free for Maymont members and participants in the Museums for All program.
