After a successful run in Paris, Small is Beautiful: Miniature Art Exhibition comes to South Kensington showcasing teeny tiny artworks and photographic works from more than 30 international artists.

A delightfully quirky and playful exhibition, visitors can immerse themselves in offbeat worlds created by some of the key artists in the miniature art movement, which has come out of social media.

While it may sound incredibly Gen-Z, miniature art has been around long before Instagram dating back to prehistoric times. Its influence can be seen in dolls and model-making, and this exhibition is the first of its kind to land in London.

Highlights from the exhibition, which is suitable for all ages, include Bosnian artist Jasenko Dordevic’s sculpture of a mother and daughter small enough to fit on the tip of a pencil, and works by Ana Sofia Casaverde, a paper artist and miniature painter from Peru.

London-based photographer Slinkachu showcases his ‘Miniature Street Art’ in which he uses everyday objects to recreate miniature real-life situations, including an installation of a serpent attacking a little girl and her mother from a green shoelace in a puddle.

As part of the run, there will be creative workshops for children aged between 7 and 12, so they too can create grand but mini works of art.
